A Gentle Introduction to the Montessori Classroom

Join us for a peaceful and purposeful morning designed for toddlers and their caregivers—parents, grandparents, nannies, or any trusted adult. This new Montessori playgroup offers a calm, supportive environment where young toddlers (ages 18 months–3 years) can explore, learn, and build independence—guided by Montessori principles and the warm presence of a loved one.

As the only Montessori playgroup in Queens, this caregiver-child class offers a truly unique opportunity to experience Montessori in action. Whether you're new to Montessori or looking to deepen your understanding, this playgroup invites you to observe your child as they choose their work, practice social skills, and grow in confidence within a thoughtfully prepared classroom.

Montessori Playgroup Highlights

  • Learn how to put Montessori principles into practice at home

  • Nurture your child’s independence and self-confidence in a supportive setting

  • Support fine motor skill development using authentic Montessori materials

  • Build focus and a love of learning through self-directed exploration

  • Ease the transition into school or daycare with a gentle, low-pressure socialization experience

What to Expect

Upon arrival, children are invited to explore a Montessori-prepared environment, choosing work based on their interests and developmental stage. Caregivers are encouraged to quietly observe or participate when welcomed, learning how to support focus and independence without interrupting the child’s process.

After an hour-long work cycle, the class will gather for a simple group snack and a short circle time with songs, stories, or movement—providing a gentle rhythm to end the morning together.
